What this site is

The Yokocho Post is an independent publication covering Tokyo nightlife and going-out. We exist to help readers spend a good night out in Tokyo — and to keep faith with the small businesses we write about.

Paid partnerships

Most of what we publish is ordinary editorial: places and topics we think are worth your time, with no money changing hands. From time to time a piece may include a paid partnership with a business we feature. When that is the case:

• We disclose it on the article itself and on the site-wide banner.
• A paid partner can be included in our coverage; a paid partner cannot dictate what we

say, suppress a competitor, or edit our copy.

• Any comparison that features a paying business also includes places we have no

relationship with. We never run a comparison of paying partners only.

Our standards

• We write from first-hand knowledge and name specifics — the street, the room, the price.
• We don't publish superlatives we can't stand behind.
• Corrections are made promptly and noted.

How our content is produced

Articles are produced and edited by our editorial team, and reviewed before publication.
